BUILDING TO LAST
PLEASE ADD YOUR PIECE OF BLOCK IN YOUR COMMENT AS PART OF THE BUILDING PROCESS. THANK YOU
The overarching idea in this episode is building a strong character to match the overwhelming challenges of our days.
Building -requires
skills, knowledge, plan, efforts, resources, and vision. For it, to last means, it is enduring and sustainable.
What are we building? Life, career, future, marriage, business, ministry,
whatever it may be. The whole idea is to build such a structure to last and know it
is a process that you keep doing.
Some important elements to consider in building to
last will be:
1.
A clear vision because
without vision people perish Prov. 29 vs 18(KJV)… So have a clear vision. Your
vision distinguishes you from others. For example, Daniel set a clear vision as
a young captive in Babylonian school—NOT TO DEFILE HIMSELF. That helped him through and distinguished him
from others. Daniel. 1 vs 8
2.
Develop a core value system on the vision you created and not
based on the present ideals and ideas of anyone.
3.
Pursue new knowledge and grow in an ever-dynamic
world. Don’t be static, Pay the sacrifice of growth. “As long as there is
still space you have not occupied it all. As far as there is still distance you
have not reached the destination. As far there is still sky above your head,
you have not reached the limit”. FJ
4.
Make the right choices according to godly wisdom and counsel. Do not
lean on your own understanding. Not everything that glitters is gold.
5.
Take your dream to a greater height by stepping to bigger territories.
Pray an enlargement prayer.
6.
Align yourself with the right social connections—Evil communications
corrupt good manners. Walk casually with those without your vision, walk diligently
and intentionally with those who will promote your vision and lead you to your
goal. There are destiny killers and helpers. Choose the right people.
7.
Be intentional about everything you do by applying the details
and best ethical practices.
8.
Keep investing in yourself and motivating yourself to greater heights.

ReplyDeleteBe Deliberate... Be Determined
ReplyDeleteAll of the actions needed for a lasting structure require intentionality
And all these actions will be challenged, so you have to be resolute
Ah my people, you are use God eternal spirit to build temporal things that will soon disappear. God made you just for himself and his kingdom. Be wise! Whatever you achieve here will soon be forgotten. Seek God and his Kingdom.
ReplyDeleteMatthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Let God build in you what he made you for. Don't be a loser.
God
ReplyDeleteThank God for this article. Many Christians nowadays are not building their life on Christ. Psalm 118: 22 says that the stone which the builder rejected has become the cornerstone. Jesus is the stone, embracing him, truly, with our hearts and refusing to reject him will help us to build our lives, marriages and children at this end time when the whole world is turning upside down.
ReplyDeleteBuilding to last is such a great analogy in life because in building there is structure. There must be a vision of what we want to achieve and a plan drawn out, budgeting, timelines, connections to get resources. These all play a huge part in building or having a project. Well our lives are the same way following point number 7 we must be intentional in what we do and each aspect.
ReplyDeleteI think this passage focuses on the importance of having goals, it asks that we have a vision and we don’t compromise any of our morals. Today the world wants us to “adjust” and accept what’s socially acceptable but the Bible says otherwise. I want God to give me the strength to stay focused and on the right track.
