PURPOSEFUL LIVING

Declarations of some people who challenge us into a life of service. Please read them carefully and thoughtfully. Then share with us your declaration or you can make a resolution right now.

“For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth.” - Jesus Christ, (John 18 vs 37KJV).

“This is the true joy in life that being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as mighty one. That being a force of nature, instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy. I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die. For the harder, I work the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no brief candle to me. It’s a sort of splendid torch which I‘ve got to hold up for the moment and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.” —George Bernard Shaw

Service is the rent we pay for the privilege of living on this earth” – N. Eldon Tanner.

“And there are so many ways to serve. Whether or not we belong to a church or service organization or have a job that provides meaningful service opportunities, not a day goes by that we can’t at least serve one other human being by making deposits of unconditional love.” -Stephen Covey, 7 habits…

…kindly share your own purposeful declaration/resolution in the world of service.

For me I will give my living for others to live, so help me God.

  1. Purposeful living should not be limited only to denomination or Christendom but rather to wherever we found ourselves, whichever time and condition we found ourselves . I therefore declare to continue to live and serve purposefully to my generation to the best of my ability as long as God gives me the grace- '' So help me God"
